RESOURCES

What we want to offer you as leaders is a way to start exploring  the perhaps not very appealing subject of endings for yourself and your organisation

Organisations face a myriad of different kinds of endings every day. Some more obvious and traumatic, such as the death of a colleague, and others more everyday from the completion of a project, to promotions, redundancies, mergers – the list is long.

While you’re likely to have paid some attention to the most obvious endings, we’re challenging you to look at the way you have done that, and how it could be done better, as well as looking at endings that you or your organisation have perhaps paid less attention to.

If you are thinking that it would be useful to consider this subject in more detail, or to fully lay out the reality of an ending in your organisation, these resources can help you do that. We are aware as we offer this, that this is an area that people often choose (either consciously or unconsciously) not to attend to for the very reasons that we wrote the original article, in that it can be painful, challenging and emotive work. We encourage you in doing this work, to seek support if you think you need it. We encourage you to start with work on yourself, and not use these approaches to work on others unless you feel safe and qualified to do so.

Start with you. Work safely. Seek support.

You can get in touch with us if you’d like us to work with you and your organisation. We would also love to hear your experiences of the work, what you’re finding useful and what else you’d like to find here on the site. We look forward to hearing from you.

THE FOUR PILLARS

Our Endings in Organisations article introduced the work of our Four Pillars model for ending well. You can access blog posts on each of the Four Pillars below, where we take a deeper dive into each pillar, offering further information and practical questions to work through.
